Biography (read more)

Miloš Karadaglić was born in 1983 in Montenegro and started playing guitar at age eight. At 17 he won a scholarship to London’s Royal Academy of Music via a video audition and relocated to the UK to study. He signed with Deutsche Grammophon in 2010, and his 2011 debut album Mediterráneo topped classical charts worldwide, staying at UK No. 1 on the classical chart for 28 weeks.

Karadaglić is widely credited with reviving mainstream popularity for the classical guitar, dubbed “classical music’s guitar hero” by The Telegraph. He won the 2011 Gramophone Young Artist of the Year and Echo Klassik Newcomer of the Year, and has performed as soloist with orchestras including the London Philharmonic, LA Philharmonic, and Chicago Symphony; he now records for Sony Classical.
