Jodie Devos (10 October 1988 – 16 June 2024) was a Belgian coloratura soprano. She studied at the Institut de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur and earned a master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2013, taking second prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2014. Based at the Opéra-Comique in Paris from 2014, she became known for the French repertoire, notably as Philine in Mignon and Ophélie in Hamlet by Ambroise Thomas, and the title role of Delibes’s Lakmé.

An exclusive Alpha Classics recording artist, Devos combined bright, agile coloratura technique with a natural feel for French style, and was also admired in Mozart and bel canto roles such as Susanna and Gilda. Her death from cancer at 35 was widely mourned in the opera world as the loss of one of the most promising French-repertoire sopranos of her generation.
