Konstantin Krimmel, born in 1993, is a German-Romanian baritone who joined the St. Georg Boys Choir in Ulm, Germany at age five and sang with the ensemble until age twenty, initially as a tenor before discovering his baritone voice at university. He secured a position with the Bavarian State Opera in Munich shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, providing an early foothold in his career.

Krimmel has built a career balancing opera roles with a strong emphasis on art song recital, describing recitals as his top priority alongside opera. He has performed with major ensembles such as the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra and appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Mahler’s ‘Songs of a Wayfarer,’ and is recognized as one of the leading young lieder specialists of his generation, recording repertoire including Brahms and Silvestrov.
