Bertrand Chamayou (born 23 March 1981 in Toulouse, France) is a French pianist. He studied at the Conservatoire de Toulouse before moving, at fifteen, to the Conservatoire de Paris on the encouragement of pianist-conductor Jean-François Heisser, and later completed his training in London with Maria Curcio, a pupil of Artur Schnabel. He is the only artist to have won the Victoires de la Musique Classique three times, taking the Young Soloist award in 2001 and Instrumental Soloist of the Year in 2014 and 2016. Signed to Erato/Warner Classics, he records extensively, often returning to his hometown of Toulouse to do so.

Chamayou has established himself as one of the foremost interpreters of French piano repertoire, with his 2016 double album of Ravel’s complete solo piano works winning a Gramophone Award and wide critical acclaim. His discography also spans Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage and Transcendental Études, Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Messiaen’s Vingt Regards sur l’Enfant-Jésus, reflecting a repertoire that runs from the Baroque to the present day. He performs regularly with major orchestras and conductors across Europe and North America, championing both core repertoire and less-frequently heard corners of the piano literature.
