Annette Dasch is a German soprano born in 1976 in West Berlin who studied voice at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München under Josef Loibl. She began her career at the Bavarian State Opera and went on to sing at La Scala, the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin State Opera, and the Paris Opera.

Dasch made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2009 as the Countess in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and debuted at the Bayreuth Festival in 2010 as Elsa in Lohengrin, a role she returned to in 2019 as a replacement for Anna Netrebko. Her recordings include Orff’s Carmina Burana, Mozart’s Il re pastore for Deutsche Grammophon, and Britten’s War Requiem, reflecting a career centered on the German and Mozart operatic repertoire.
