Aaron Pilsan is an Austrian pianist born in 1995 who began piano at age five and later studied with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling before becoming a pupil of Lars Vogt. He was taken up early by the European Concert Hall Organisation’s Rising Star programme, which brought him major recital engagements while still a teenager, and he received support from the Swiss Orpheum foundation and the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund.

Pilsan’s 2014 debut recording of Beethoven and Schubert for Naïve Records drew praise from Gramophone for his handling of Schubert’s Wanderer Fantasy, and in 2017 he received the Förderpreis Deutschlandfunk. His 2018 Deutsche Grammophon album ‘HOME’, a tribute to his Vorarlberg roots made with cellist Kian Soltani, cemented his standing as one of the notable younger Austrian pianists working with a major label today.
