Liying Zhu is a classical guitarist born in Kunming, in China’s Yunnan province. She began learning classical guitar as a child and has continued to build an international performing career since.

Zhu performed in the semifinals of the International Concert Artist Competition at the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) convention in Miami. Her playing has been praised for its “beautiful phrasing” and the contrast between silky legato lines and clear, virtuosic articulation. Available biographical sources on her are limited to guitar-media coverage rather than a formal Wikipedia entry.
