Nadine Sierra (b. 1988, Fort Lauderdale, Florida) began performing professionally at fourteen as a Young Artist with Palm Beach Opera and made her operatic debut at sixteen in Hansel and Gretel. She studied at Mannes College of Music and with mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne at the Music Academy of the West, where she became the youngest winner of the Marilyn Horne Foundation Vocal Competition. She has since sung leading roles at La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and other major houses, particularly celebrated as Gilda in Rigoletto and the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor. Her recordings for Deutsche Grammophon include There’s a Place for Us (2018) and Made for Opera (2022).

Sierra is regarded as one of the leading lyric-coloratura sopranos of her generation, winner of the 2017 Richard Tucker Award and the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award.
