Zsombor Sidoo is a Hungarian classical guitarist, born in 1997, who received his early musical training from József Eötvös at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Since 2013 he has studied with Paolo Pegoraro at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz, completing a master’s degree with highest honours in 2021, and has also studied composition with Beat Furrer.
Sidoo is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen, the Concorso Pittaluga, the Zagreb Guitar Festival, and the Mercatali Guitar Prize. He performs regularly at venues such as the Ehrbarsaal in Vienna and the Konzerthaus Klagenfurt, and released a debut CD of sonatas by Bach, Ponce, and Henze in 2019.
