Sungha Jung is a South Korean fingerstyle acoustic guitarist who began playing at age nine and rose to international attention as a teenager through YouTube covers and arrangements, including a widely viewed rendition of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme. Largely self-taught by ear, he was later mentored by fingerstyle players such as Ulli Bögershausen and has released numerous albums of original compositions and arrangements, collaborating with artists including Jason Mraz and 2NE1.

Jung is one of the best-known contemporary fingerstyle guitar arrangers, having built a global audience (millions of YouTube subscribers) that helped popularize solo acoustic fingerstyle guitar performance outside traditional concert settings.
