Sandrine Cantoreggi was born in 1969, originally French, and acquired Luxembourg nationality in 2005. She trained at the Luxembourg Conservatoire before further study with Pierre Amoyal in Paris and Roman Nodel in Germany, and completed her studies as the final student of Belgian violinist Carlo Van Neste at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium.

Cantoreggi has built an international reputation as a soloist and chamber musician, performing in venues such as Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, Prague’s Rudolfinum, and Paris’s Salle Gaveau, and has performed under conductors including Yehudi Menuhin and Vladimir Spivakov. She has recorded works by Ysaÿe and Locatelli and teaches violin at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg.
