Robert Neumann was born in 2001 in Stuttgart, Germany, and began piano lessons at age four, making his orchestral debut with the SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra at eight. He studied from age fifteen with Elza Kolodin at the Freiburg University of Music, completing his bachelor’s degree at fifteen, and later pursued master’s and concert-diploma studies with Eldar Nebolsin at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin.

Neumann has performed with orchestras including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, and appeared at festivals such as Lucerne and Kissinger Sommer. He won the Opus Klassik award as Newcomer of the Year (piano) in 2021 and the German Music Competition prize in 2025, and has recorded for SWRmusic/Naxos and Deutsche Grammophon, including releases of early Beethoven works and his own arrangements.
