English rock band formed in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in 1985, comprising Thom Yorke (vocals/guitar), Jonny Greenwood (guitar/keyboards), Colin Greenwood (bass), Ed O’Brien (guitar), and Philip Selway (drums). Their landmark album OK Computer (1997) and the electronic-influenced Kid A (2000) marked a shift toward experimental art rock, later followed by the pay-what-you-want release In Rainbows (2007).
Radiohead has sold over 30 million albums, won six Grammy Awards, and holds the record for most Mercury Prize nominations of any act, while their innovative self-release strategies reshaped how artists approach music distribution.
