English rock band formed in Manchester by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, alongside Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Their debut Definitely Maybe (1994) and follow-up (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) made them the leading band of the Britpop movement. The group split acrimoniously in 2009 before reuniting for a world tour in 2024.

Oasis sold over 100 million records worldwide and became the most commercially successful act of the Britpop era, later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
