Nicola Montella, born in 1987, has studied classical guitar since age eight under Master G. M. Fontanella. He now teaches as a classical guitar professor at the “D. Cimarosa” Conservatory in Avellino, Italy.
In 2015 the Scientific Committee of the International Guitar Congress in Alessandria, Italy, awarded Montella the Golden Guitar Award for best up-and-coming guitarist. He has performed at festivals including the Girona International Classic Guitar Festival and the Aranda de Duero International Classic Guitar Festival in Spain, as well as concerts in China.
