Newkid is the stage name of Jhun Alexander Ferrer (born December 2, 1990, in Uddevalla, Sweden), a Swedish-Filipino rapper and singer of Swedish and Spanish-Filipino descent. He released his debut album in 2011 and signed with Sony Music, with his third studio album Mount Jhun (2020) becoming his first top-10 entry on the Swedish Albums Chart. He gained wider recognition after appearing on the Swedish TV program Så mycket bättre in 2020.

Newkid has established himself as a recognizable figure in Swedish hip-hop, with his single “Kanske var vi rätt ändå” reaching number six on the Swedish Singles Chart.
