Manuel Sánchez Riera is a Spanish-born guitarist based in Cologne, Germany, active in both classical and flamenco/fingerstyle traditions. He began learning guitar at nine in his hometown and attended various conservatories, guitar festivals and competitions. In 2009 he took over a guitar class and has taught ever since. He also composes occasional tonal pieces, and performs across Spain, Germany and neighbouring countries.

As a performer-teacher bridging classical and flamenco/fingerstyle idioms in the German guitar scene, Riera represents the crossover territory increasingly common among working classical guitarists.
