Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta in New York City, is an American singer-songwriter who broke through with The Fame (2008) and The Fame Monster (2009), producing hits such as ‘Just Dance,’ ‘Poker Face,’ and ‘Bad Romance.’ She has continued to release genre-blending albums including Born This Way (2011), Joanne (2016), and Chromatica (2020), while also pursuing an acting career, notably in A Star Is Born (2018).
Gaga is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with roughly 124 million records sold and 16 Grammy Awards, and in 2019 became the first person to win an Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Grammy in a single year.
