Biography (read more)
Isabella Selder is a German classical guitarist who studied at the Academy of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar, where she met Eliška Lenhartová, with whom she later formed Duo Françaix. Both are master’s candidates at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Alongside her duo work, Selder maintains an active solo career and teaches guitar in the Augsburg/Munich area of Germany.
As a soloist, Selder has won prizes at numerous competitions and is known for adventurous solo programming, including multi-movement Bach suite transcriptions performed on different historic guitars for each movement. This page covers her solo repertoire; her chamber-music work is documented separately on the Duo Françaix page.
