EXO is a South Korean-Chinese boy band formed by SM Entertainment, debuting in 2012 with members split into Korean- and Mandarin-performing subunits. The group blends pop, hip-hop, and R&B with electronic dance elements and became one of the best-selling acts in Korean music history.

Dubbed the ‘Kings of K-pop,’ EXO was the first 21st-century-debuting South Korean act to sell 10 million cumulative albums and helped drive the global expansion of the Korean Wave, including a performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics closing ceremony.
