Davy (Davey) Graham was a British guitarist and composer, born in Leicestershire to a Guyanese mother and Scottish father, who became a self-taught virtuoso blending folk, blues, jazz, and world-music influences, particularly from Morocco. He is credited with pioneering the DADGAD open guitar tuning in the early 1960s.

Graham composed the acoustic instrumental ‘Anji’ at age 19, which became a rite-of-passage piece for fingerstyle guitarists and influenced musicians such as Bert Jansch, Paul Simon, and Jimmy Page, making him one of the most influential figures of the British folk revival.
