Daniel Hope (born August 17, 1973) is an Irish-German violinist educated at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied under Zakhar Bron, Itzhak Rashkovsky, and Felix Andrievsky. He was a member of the Beaux Arts Trio from 2002 until the ensemble disbanded in 2008, and has since held posts including music director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra (from 2016) and artistic director of the Frauenkirche Dresden (from 2019). An exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist since 2007, he gained wider public attention for ‘Hope@Home,’ a series of over 100 live-streamed concerts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hope is a leading violinist and cultural ambassador who broadened classical music’s audience during the pandemic through Hope@Home, in addition to his extensive solo, chamber, and directorial career.
