Chris Reynolds is an American collaborative pianist who earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees at the Juilliard School, studying with Julian Martin, Margo Garrett, Brian Zeger, Lydia Brown, Jonathan Feldman, JJ Penna, and Cameron Stowe. He built his early career through positions such as ensemble pianist at Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center and music staff roles at San Francisco Opera and the Kennedy Center.

Reynolds is a répétiteur and vocal-recital accompanist who currently serves on the music staff of Staatsoper Stuttgart (moving to Deutsche Oper Berlin), has performed at Bayreuth, Carnegie Hall, and Tanglewood, and has collaborated with singers including Nadine Sierra and Matthew Polenzani. He made his Deutsche Grammophon recording debut in 2022 with soprano Emily Pogorelc and released his own transcription album, ‘Past is Prologue,’ the same year.
