Ana Durlovski was born in 1978 in Skopje, in what is now North Macedonia. She studied singing in Skopje and continued her training in Italy before beginning an international career. She has been a member of the ensemble of the Stuttgart State Opera and appears widely as a guest artist across Europe. Her repertoire is centred on the high coloratura soprano roles of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Durlovski is best known for the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, which she has sung in major productions including the Baden-Baden staging conducted by Sir Simon Rattle with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Other signature roles include Lucia in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata and Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail. She maintains a close association with the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in Skopje alongside her work in German and Italian houses. She is among the most internationally visible Macedonian singers of her generation.
