ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972, comprising Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. They rose to international fame after winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with “Waterloo” and went on to become one of the best-selling music acts in history, with hits like “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” and “Money, Money, Money.” The group disbanded in 1982 but reunited creatively in 2021 to release the album Voyage and launch the avatar-based ABBA Voyage concert residency in 2022.

ABBA is regarded as one of the most commercially successful and influential pop acts ever, having sold over 150 million records and inspiring the global Mamma Mia! stage and film franchise. They were the first group from a non-English-speaking country to achieve sustained chart dominance in English-speaking markets.
