Juliane Bergemann (now performing as Juliane Byrenheid) is a German classical guitarist. She won two consecutive first prizes with maximum points at the national “Jugend musiziert” competition and received a special prize for best interpretation of a contemporary piece at the 8th International Anna Amalia Guitar Competition in Weimar. In 2012 she took first prize at the 4th International Guitar Competition “Westfälischer Gitarrenfrühling” in Erwitte and third prize at the Aachen Guitar Prize, and she was twice awarded scholarships, from the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now society in Weimar and the Hans and Eugenia Jütting Foundation.
In 2012 Bergemann acquired a Biedermeier-era romantic guitar and in July 2014 released her debut CD, “Liebesbotschaft,” featuring music by Schubert and Johann Kaspar Mertz. Alongside her solo concert career she performs in the Duo Jucorda and the Delta Guitar Quartet, and works as a guitar teacher at the Musikschule Sächsische Schweiz.
