Erich Konstantin Reymaier was born May 8, 1967, in Styria, Austria. He studied organ (under Rudolf Scholz and Alfred Mitterhofer) and theology in Vienna, earning a concert diploma in organ with distinction in 1992, and later held academic posts including music director at Oxford’s Mansfield College (1997-2001) and organ professor at the Kunstuniversität Graz. He entered the Vienna diocesan seminary and was ordained a Catholic priest in 2009.

Since 2016, Reymaier has served as cathedral organist (‘Domorganist’) at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, and from 2010-2022 directed the Vienna Archdiocese’s church music office, notably overseeing the construction of the new cathedral organ completed in 2020. He maintains an active international concert career, with performances across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East, and recordings released on Priory Records and Deutsche Grammophon, including ‘The New Organ at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna.’
