Jonathan Ware is an American pianist from Texas, born in 1984, who studied at the Eastman School of Music, the Juilliard School, and the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. He specializes as a Lied (German art song) accompanist and has performed with singers including Benjamin Appl, Christiane Oelze, Golda Schultz, and Elsa Dreisig.

Ware won first prize at the 2014 Internationaler Wettbewerb für Liedkunst and received pianist awards at major international song competitions in 2011 and 2012. He has recorded for Erato Records and Berlin Classics, participated in the Heidelberger Frühling Festival Academy, and currently teaches at both the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music and the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin.
