Fabian Müller was born in 1990 in Bonn, Germany, and began piano lessons at age four with Rose-Marie Zartner. At fifteen he was accepted into Pierre-Laurent Aimard’s class at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and he was later appointed W2 Professor of Piano at that institution (Wuppertal campus) starting in the 2020/21 winter semester.

Müller has won multiple prizes at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, including a special prize for contemporary piano interpretation and one for best interpretation of a Busoni work, along with first prizes at the Prix Amadéo (2011) and the international “Ton und Erklärung” competition in Frankfurt (2015). He performs regularly at major German concert venues including the Kölner Philharmonie and Berlin Konzerthaus, and with orchestras such as the Beethoven Orchester Bonn.
