Adélaïde Ferrière is a French percussionist born in 1996 in Dijon, where she began studying at the local conservatoire under her father before entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris at fifteen, graduating with a master’s degree with highest honors, and continuing studies at the Royal College of Music in London. She built an early competition record with prizes including the Tromp International Percussion Competition (Netherlands) and the Grand Prize at the Virtuoso International Competition in Salzburg.

In 2017 Ferrière became the first percussionist ever named ‘Révélation soliste instrumental de l’année’ at France’s Victoires de la Musique Classique, a landmark for the instrument in French classical music. She has since performed with orchestras such as the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, premiered numerous contemporary works, released a well-reviewed debut album, and serves as artistic director of the Musique en Chambertin festival.
