James Blunt (born James Hillier Blount, February 22, 1974) is an English singer-songwriter and former British Army officer who served in Kosovo before launching his music career. His 2004 debut album made him an international star, led by the chart-topping single “You’re Beautiful,” which reached number one in thirteen countries.

Blunt has sold over 23 million albums worldwide and earned multiple Grammy and Brit Award nominations, becoming one of the defining singer-songwriters of mid-2000s pop.
