Philipp Romacker is a German classical guitarist who began with trumpet and piano before turning to guitar at thirteen. Three years later he won a prize at the national “Jugend musiziert” competition and was admitted to Dr. Hoch’s Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main without a high-school diploma, studying with Thomas Bittermann and Stephan Werner and completing his Bachelor of Music in 2017. Since 2019 he has pursued a master’s degree in guitar in Stuttgart with Mateus Dela Fonte, and now lives in Munich, where he teaches guitar and performs as a soloist and chamber musician.

Romacker has refined his playing in masterclasses with guitarists including David Russell, Ana Vidović, Marcin Dylla, Scott Tennant and Bill Kanengiser, and is an emerging voice among the current generation of German classical guitarists.
