Tatyana Ryzhkova was born in 1986 in Minsk, Belarus, and began guitar lessons at age ten with V. V. Gromov. She studied at the Glinka Music College in Minsk under Michael Zhuravlev before being admitted to the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, joining the guitar class of Professor Thomas Müller-Pering, and in 2009 became a scholarship holder of the Neue Liszt Stiftung Weimar. She founded her own guitar school in Bremen in 2011 and today teaches at music schools in Achim and Bremen.

By age 14 Ryzhkova was already performing internationally, and she has since given more than 500 concerts on every continent, built one of the largest YouTube audiences among classical guitarists, and released three albums — Tatyana Ryzhkova Guitar (2010), Expressions (2012), and Dreams of a Russian Summer (2017) — while also composing and performing her own songs.
