Jack Davisson, from Palo Alto, California, studies guitar with Christopher Mallett at the California Conservatory of Music. He won first place at the Guitar Foundation of America’s 2021 International Youth Competition (Senior Division), the 2021 James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition, and the Society of American Musicians’ 2021 competition.

Davisson performs both as a soloist and as one half of the Davisson Guitar Duo with his sister Elle; their debut album, La Vida Breve, was released in February 2023 on Frameworks/Sapphire Records. He has also founded two free group-guitar programs, one at a VA hospital and one at a center for under-resourced youth.
