Cassie Martin is a French classical guitarist who began playing at age five. After training at the Conservatoire d’Orléans, she entered Gérard Abiton’s class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in 2015, and at seventeen entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris in Olivier Chassain’s class. She has worked with guitarists including Sergio Assad, Tania Chagnot, Jérémy Jouve and Judicaël Perroy, became a Eurostrings artist in 2020, and in 2023 was chosen by Sergio Assad to represent France in his project “The Woman and the Guitar.” She has won numerous international competitions, including first prizes at the GuitArt Plovdiv International Competition (2023), the Silesian Guitar Autumn (2022), the Guitar Wien Forum (2022) and the Taiwan International Guitar Competition (2022), and received the ICMA-Classeek Prize in 2024.

A prolific competition winner still in her early twenties, Martin has quickly built an international career, performing concertos including Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez and appearing at festivals across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
